Deep and Green Tech for Sustainable Development

Turn advanced technology into deployable pilots for the Green Deal and Digital Transition

Green Iceberg modernises deep-tech and green-tech capabilities through applied research and innovation, curriculum updates, and practical pilots that align with local, regional, and European priorities. We support organisations in delivering the European Green Deal and the Digital Transition by leveraging artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, distributed ledger technologies such as blockchain, and cyber security for real-world industrial and public-value applications—particularly in the areas of digital twins and data-driven operations that promote sustainable development.

What we provide

Capability building in artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, distributed ledger technologies, and cyber security for both industry and public services. Utilizing digital twins for assets, infrastructure, and operations, we focus on applications such as the wind-turbine digital twin, which includes monitoring, forecasting, optimization, and a feasibility pathway. Our time-series forecasting is delivered in Python-ready form, providing energy management applications that encompass monitoring, cost forecasting, and settlement under dynamic tariffs, all contributing to sustainable development.

How we deliver

We combine technical delivery with policy and programme readiness, leveraging advancements in artificial intelligence, digital twins, and distributed ledger technologies. This includes clear requirements, a data readiness assessment, model and system design, rapid prototyping, and validation against measurable indicators. Each pilot incorporates an implementation route aligned with public-sector expectations, emphasizing integration planning, governance, information assurance, and the skills needed for long-term operation, all while supporting sustainable development through the Internet of Things.

Typical outputs

Requirements, architecture, and integration blueprint (including data flows) that leverage artificial intelligence and digital twins. A working prototype with a validation report and performance measures, incorporating distributed ledger technologies. An indicator framework assessing accuracy, reliability, cost, service quality, and sustainability impact, aligned with sustainable development goals. Information assurance and risk controls appropriate to the context of the Internet of Things. An implementation roadmap with phases, resourcing, and capability needs.
